Byrd Farms Technology Campus DC16

The Byrd Farms Technology Campus is a proposed large-scale data center development spanning 944 acres in Appling, Georgia, located near Lonergan Hulme Road & Nature's Way. The project, submitted by Byrd Farms LLC, aims to rezone the land from Residential Agricultural and Light Industrial to a Data Center district. The campus plans include 18 one-story data center buildings, each approximately 276,000 square feet, a substantial 800x800 foot substation, and dedicated stormwater management facilities. A 500-foot natural buffer will surround the development. Transmission lines traverse the site, and Byrd Farms intends to request a power study from Georgia Power to determine service capabilities. The developer, Trammell Crow Company, or the end user will be responsible for funding any necessary system upgrades for Georgia Power to support the project.
