Global AI Windsor

Global AI is developing a significant data center facility in Windsor, Colorado, located at 2000 Howard Smith Avenue West. The company acquired 438 acres in Weld County, previously a former industrial site including buildings formerly occupied by Carestream Health and originally part of the Eastman Kodak campus.

The initial phase of development aims to establish an 18-24MW operational data center by the end of the current year, with plans to gut and repurpose one of the existing buildings. Global AI has ambitious expansion goals, targeting an eventual capacity of up to 1GW. The investment for this project is estimated to range from $2 billion to $20 billion, depending on the final scale. The company is exploring various power solutions, including on-site technologies, to meet the substantial energy demands, working with local providers like Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association and Xcel Energy.
