RB Inyokern Data Center

The RB Inyokern Data Center is a proposed 99MW, 238,000 sq ft AI-ready data center campus located near Inyokern, California. Developed by R&L Capital, Inc., the facility is designed for hyperscale and artificial intelligence workloads, featuring six modular data halls with Tier III/IV-ready redundancy. The project includes on-site canopy solar integration and a highly efficient hybrid cooling system that minimizes water usage, estimated at approximately 37-49 Acre-Feet per year. The 50-acre campus will also feature an on-site substation and 40 3MW diesel-fired generator sets for backup emergency generation. The first phase is planned to offer 60MW. Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2027, with a launch date in November 2028. The project is expected to generate over 1,600 construction jobs, more than 530 permanent jobs (direct and indirect), and over $6 million in annual tax revenue for local governments. The data center is endorsed by various labor and business organizations, including the State Building and Construction Trades Council of California.
