NYGC Bakersfield is a 45MW AI-powered data center located in Bakersfield, California. The facility is designed to leverage on-site renewable energy generated from a refurbished 45MW biomass plant. This plant is being upgraded into a cogeneration facility to produce both electricity and biochar.

To ensure energy reliability and facilitate load balancing, the data center is equipped with a 180MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The facility is integrated with the CAISO grid, enabling efficient energy distribution and participation in energy markets.

Progress on the project includes ongoing technical feasibility studies and preliminary business plan development. Fiber network deployment is also in progress, supporting the data center's connectivity needs.
