The Spodegreen Data Center is a proposed development by renewable energy firm Innova on a 148-acre site in Little Bollington, Cheshire, United Kingdom. Located adjacent to Lymm Road and the M56 motorway, the site is currently used for farming. The project plans include a solar farm, though the data center itself will draw power from the main grid. Innova has stated the facility will utilize a closed-loop system to minimize water consumption. The proposed capacity of the data center has not been disclosed. Innova, which operates solar farms and energy storage schemes in the north west of England and Wales, anticipates the project will create 350 jobs. A public consultation has been held, and a planning application is expected later this year or in early 2027. The development has encountered local opposition due to its location on green belt land at the edge of Manchester's conurbation.
