Wycombe Film Studios, under parent company SCIO Capital, is developing a significant data center campus on a 13-hectare site south of Wycombe Air Park in Marlow, near High Wycombe, UK. The project, with an estimated construction cost of £265 million over five years, will feature six data centers, a substation, and a gatehouse, totaling approximately 580,000 sq ft. This development aims to address a substantial market requirement for data centers in the UK, particularly in London and the South East of England. The construction phase is projected to create 275 jobs, with an additional 300 full-time positions expected once the data center is operational. The data centers are likely to be leased or sold by the film studio. This initiative aligns with the UK government's favorable stance towards data centers, recognizing them as Critical National Infrastructure and seeking to encourage further development.
