A new data center is being proposed for Edinburgh Park, on the west side of Edinburgh, Scotland. The project is led by Shelborn Drummond and StudioNWA Architects, with plans to redevelop the former Royal Bank of Scotland HQ site at 1 Redheughs Avenue.
The site previously hosted Drummond House, which was demolished in 2022. Earlier plans for a large office and residential complex were shelved due to market conditions, and the focus has shifted to data center development.
Current proposals include two data buildings, one larger than the other, alongside a new substation. Specific capacity and timelines have not yet been disclosed. This would be Shelborn’s first data center project, marking a shift from its traditional commercial real estate portfolio.
