Vantage CWL43 - Bridgend

Vantage Data Centers is undertaking a significant development in Bridgend, Wales, transforming a former Ford car manufacturing plant into a major data center campus. This "multi-billion-pound" investment is set to create numerous jobs during both construction and operational phases.

The expansive 1.3 million sq ft (120,000 sqm) site, acquired by Vantage in May 2024, is slated for development over a 10-15 year period. Plans indicate the potential for up to 10 data center buildings and three substations.

Vantage aims for the Bridgend campus to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030, utilizing renewable energy sources, minimizing water consumption, and exploring opportunities to supply waste heat to local district heating networks.

Construction is anticipated to commence in early 2026, with phased development continuing through to 2040. This project expands Vantage's presence in Wales, building on their existing operations acquired in 2020.
