UG-KLA01 is a privately operated engineered edge infrastructure platform designed to deliver enterprise-grade hosting and infrastructure services under real-world East African operating conditions. The facility forms part of a hybrid Uganda ↔ UK hosting platform, enabling flexible deployment models, operational resilience, and data residency options.
The platform is engineered around resilient infrastructure principles, incorporating multi-source power architecture (grid, solar, battery, and generator), dual inverter-backed distribution paths, controlled failover mechanisms, and segmented operational domains. The power environment is designed with Tier III-aligned resilience principles, with elements approaching Tier IV-style fault tolerance, though no formal certification is claimed.
Cooling infrastructure follows a similarly resilient design philosophy, incorporating separated A and B electrical feeds, N+1 capacity, and maintainable operation under component or maintenance failure conditions.
UG-KLA01 is designed to support dedicated, virtualised, and high-density compute workloads for enterprise, NGO, research, and data-driven environments. The facility adopts a low-visibility, security-by-design approach, combining controlled physical access, monitored infrastructure, and operational containment principles.
Rather than relying on ideal operating assumptions, the platform is specifically engineered to continue operating through instability, not merely recover from it.
