A privately operated micro data centre designed to deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure in a compact, energy-efficient footprint. The facility forms part of a hybrid hosting platform spanning Uganda and a UK data centre, enabling flexible deployment models and data residency options.
UG-KLA01 operates with a highly resilient power architecture incorporating grid, solar, and generator sources, supported by dual inverter-backed distribution paths. The design demonstrates Tier III-aligned power resilience, with elements approaching Tier IV-style fault tolerance, though no formal Tier certification is claimed.
Cooling infrastructure is aligned with a Tier III design, incorporating separated A and B electrical feeds, N+1 capacity, and maintainable operation under failure conditions.
The site is engineered for real-world operating conditions, with a focus on resilience under unstable power and environmental conditions, combining multi-source power, battery-backed systems, and controlled failover mechanisms. The platform supports dedicated and virtualised workloads for enterprise, NGO, and research applications.
The facility adopts a low-visibility, security-by-design approach, reducing external exposure while maintaining strict, monitored access, and is designed to operate through instability, not merely recover from it.
