Beijing Haoyang Cloud & Data Technology Co., Ltd. is developing a 300MW hyperscale data center in Rayong, Thailand, marking its first international expansion. The facility will be built at the WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 4, a site acquired from WHA Industrial Development (WHAID), one of Thailand’s leading industrial estate developers.
The project, valued at 72.7 billion baht ($2.164 billion), is expected to be operational by 2026. Haoyang aims to leverage its expertise from China to support Thailand’s growing digital infrastructure needs, particularly in AI-driven computing. The initiative aligns with Thailand’s ambition to become a regional data center hub, attracting investments from major tech firms such as TikTok, AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Google, and Microsoft.
