The Acer e-Enabling Data Center (eDC) is a hyperscale facility located in Longtan, Taiwan, designed to deliver robust co-location and cloud infrastructure services. It features one of the largest single hosting rooms in Asia, occupying 23,200 m² within a total data center footprint of 61,500 m².
Engineered for seismic resilience, the site incorporates M7-grade quake-resistant architecture that exceeds Taiwan’s post-Chichi Earthquake building standards. Dual-loop power systems are fed from two Taipower substations, ensuring uninterrupted operations and scalability on demand.
Each rack unit is supported by redundant 110V/3A power, dual-loop air conditioning, and independent relays. Fire protection includes VESDA smoke detection and FM200 gas suppression within airlock-controlled hosting rooms. Security is enforced through seven-layer access control, including biometric palm recognition and man-trap systems.
Connectivity is optimized via scalable broadband architecture, with 100Mbps Ethernet ports and fixed IPs per unit. Customers benefit from flexible leasing, 24/7 access, MRTG traffic reports, and managed hosting services. The center is ISO 27001 and ISO 20000 certified, supporting enterprise-grade reliability and service quality.
Additional amenities include local office space, disaster recovery zones, staging and media storage areas, and client accommodations. Acer eDC positions itself as a strategic digital hub for businesses seeking secure, scalable, and high-performance infrastructure in East Asia.
