NorthC Geneva is a new data center facility located at Rte du Nant-d'Avril 150, Meyrin, Switzerland, within the Hive technology park. The facility is designed with a modular approach, offering an IT capacity of 4.5 MW, delivered in increments of 1.5 MW, across approximately 5,400 sqm of space.
Powered by 100% green energy, NorthC Geneva incorporates advanced technological features. It utilizes a waterless cooling system and supports direct-to-chip liquid cooling. For backup power, the facility will use HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) instead of traditional diesel generators. Furthermore, the data center is designed to make its waste heat available for local heating networks.
The strategic location in Geneva, a significant commercial and economic center, addresses the growing demand for digital services and data center capacity in Switzerland. Its proximity to the CERN research center also presents opportunities for collaboration in scientific research and innovation, including AI development.
