O-Green, a fund linked to Oman, is planning the CDC San Mateo data center campus in San Mateo de Gállego, Zaragoza, Spain. The project involves an investment of €7.4 billion and aims for a total capacity of 570MW.
The campus will span approximately 122 hectares and is planned to include seven buildings across four phases. It is designed to accommodate hyperscale workloads and high-density artificial intelligence applications, with a total planned area of 1.22 million sqm.
The first phase is expected to offer 90MW and potentially go live in 2029. The project has secured permits for 80MW at the Peñaflor substation and 10MW at the Villanueva de Gállego substation, with further capacity allocation dependent on future demand and regulatory approvals.
Cooling solutions will consider dry, hybrid, or evaporative methods based on customer needs. Water will be sourced from the Gállego River, with an initial consumption of 225 cubic meters per day planned for the first phase.
O-Green Power, primarily a renewable energy developer, has a global portfolio exceeding 11GW. The company is targeting over 200MW to be ready for service by 2028 across Oman, Spain, and Europe.
