DC Mudarra

Vapat, a prominent Spanish wind power group, is expanding into the data center sector with the DC Mudarra project, located in La Mudarra, Valladolid, Spain. This ambitious development aims for a total IT capacity of up to 160MW, distributed across two data center buildings. Each building will house eight IT rooms, with each room designed to accommodate 10MW of capacity. The project is strategically situated near Vapat's San Lorenzo wind farms and the La Mudarra electrical substation, leveraging existing power infrastructure. The total land area designated for the campus is up to 250 hectares. The estimated investment for this project ranges between €1.6-2 billion ($1.8-2.3 billion), though this figure is subject to finalization based on project phases and specifications. Currently, DC Mudarra is in the early administrative stages, including an environmental impact assessment, before construction can commence.
