Meta Talavera de la Reina

Meta is developing a significant data center campus in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo, Spain. The project, located in the Torrehierro industrial area, will cover 191 hectares and represents an investment of €750 million. It is projected to have an estimated buildable area of 130,000 m² for server buildings and technical infrastructure.

The development includes a commitment to sustainability, featuring a solar park to supply part of the campus's energy consumption. Additionally, a new high-capacity fiber optic network will be deployed between Madrid and Talavera. This network aims to enhance regional connectivity, potentially benefiting other operators and technological companies.

Meta anticipates creating 250 direct jobs upon operation and an additional 300 jobs during the construction phase. The company plans to commence construction once urban planning procedures are finalized. This initiative positions Talavera de la Reina as a key hub for the digital economy in Spain, with strategic implications for employment, investment, and technological attraction.
