Iron Mountain’s Madrid data center campus is located in San Fernando de Henares, strategically positioned within Spain’s capital region and connected to one of the world’s strongest submarine cable infrastructures. The site is designed for both retail and hyperscale deployments, offering high-performance colocation in a central European hub.

The campus currently includes a 4,000 m² facility with 3 MW of capacity, and plans to scale up to 79 MW across eight purpose-built data centers. This growth potential makes it one of Iron Mountain’s most ambitious European expansions.

Customers benefit from carrier-neutral connectivity, remote smart hands services, and a global NOC portal for real-time monitoring. The site meets rigorous compliance standards including HIPAA, FISMA High, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2/3, supporting mission-critical and regulated workloads.

Sustainability is a core feature, with the entire campus matched by 100% renewable energy. Iron Mountain’s Green Power Pass allows clients to claim environmental credits in their own ESG reporting.
