hscale MAD1 is a new data center campus located southwest of Madrid, Spain, with a targeted Ready For Service (RFS) date in Q3 2028. The campus is designed with four buildings, each featuring two floors, and will offer a total planned IT load of 192 MW. Key features include a concurrently maintainable design, a targeted annual PUE of 1.2, and N+1 electrical topology with N+2 cooling infrastructure that is liquid-ready. Power applications are underway for 160MVA of ACE/Clean Energy and 160MVA from Red Electrica. The facility is committed to 100% green energy, including a direct connection to a PV farm. Security protocols include rigorous cyber and physical measures, penetration tests, and maturity assessments, complemented by a robust EHS program. Madrid's strategic location as a gateway between Europe, Africa, and Latin America, coupled with its growing digital infrastructure and business-friendly environment, makes it an ideal location for this development.
