Ferrovial Digital Infrastructure (FDI)

Ferrovial MAD01, located in Alcobendas, Madrid, is the first phase of a significant data center campus development by Ferrovial Digital Infrastructure (FDI). This initial phase involves the construction of a 60MW data center, with 40MW dedicated to IT load, situated on a 32,300 square meter plot with a built area of nearly 22,000 square meters. The project signifies Ferrovial's entry into the data center market in Spain, with an estimated total campus investment exceeding €1 billion. The MAD01 phase alone has an investment of €153 million. The development has been designated a "Project of Special Interest" by the Community of Madrid's Investment Accelerator, streamlining administrative processes. Favorable urban planning, digital strategy, and energy transition reports have been secured, along with permits for earthworks and grid connection from i-DE. This initiative aims to bolster Madrid's position as a leading hub for technology and data centers in Spain and Europe.
