Sarenet has launched a new data center in Derio, marking its 30th anniversary with a €20 million investment. This facility, located in the Derio Communications Hub, boasts an initial capacity of 3 MW, with scalability options based on market demand.

The data center is designed to operate with 100% renewable energy, including its own photovoltaic plant, and aims to achieve LEED Gold certification. It will provide critical services such as managed cybersecurity, dynamic network segmentation, and DDoS protection, ensuring business continuity even in extreme scenarios like blackouts or natural disasters.

A key focus of the facility is data sovereignty, minimizing outsourcing and keeping client information within Sarenet’s infrastructure. This is particularly relevant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that require secure, locally managed solutions compliant with regulations like NIS2 and the National Security Framework.

With this expansion, Sarenet strengthens its commitment to innovation, offering cloud hosting, AI-driven services, and cybersecurity solutions while maintaining high efficiency standards with a PUE between 1.3 and 1.4.
