Mediterra BARCELONA 01

Mediterra Datacenters is launching Mediterra BARCELONA 01, a new data center facility located in Montmeló, Barcelona, Spain. Expected to be operational in the second half of 2027, this 9,700 square meter site will operate entirely on green energy and features a closed-loop cooling system to minimize water waste. The facility will offer 8 megawatts (MW) of installed IT capacity and a 12 MW electrical connection. Designed with modularity for future expansion, Mediterra BARCELONA 01 is specifically engineered to meet the demands of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads. As a carrier-neutral facility, it provides clients the flexibility to choose their preferred network providers. This expansion marks Mediterra's strategic growth into the Spanish market, positioning Barcelona as a key hub for digital economy growth.
