Ark Data Centres - Barcelona

Ark Data Centres, a UK-based operator, is expanding its European presence with a significant new development in Barcelona, Spain. The company plans to build a 45MW IT capacity data center in the La Maquinista area, acquiring approximately 30,000 square meters of industrial land for the project. This expansion into the Barcelona market represents an investment of over €600 million. Ark Data Centres, founded in 2005, currently operates or has under development 27 data centers across nine sites in the UK and Belgium, totaling over 560MW. The company serves various UK government departments and agencies, including a joint venture with the Cabinet Office for public sector colocation services. The Barcelona project has institutional backing from regional and local governments.
