KT Baekseok AIDC

KT Baekseok AIDC, located in Goyang-si, South Korea, is a specialized data center designed for Artificial Intelligence (AI) workloads. It incorporates advanced cooling technologies for high density and efficiency, addressing the growing demand for AI infrastructure. The facility is built to rapidly respond to the need for AI Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) for high-performance computing and large-scale data processing.

KT Baekseok AIDC is situated within the KT Baekseok Building and provides a stable power and air conditioning system. KT Cloud is establishing an integrated operational system by linking Baekseok AIDC with its existing seven data centers in the Seoul metropolitan area, expanding its 'One DC' network. This enables the provision of stable colocation services and dedicated line services to facilitate connections with global Cloud Service Providers (CSPs).

KT Cloud plans to open additional AIDC facilities capable of accommodating large-volume GPUs in locations such as Gasan and Gyeongbuk. The opening ceremony on August 29th was attended by key personnel, including Kim Seung-woon, Head of KT Cloud's IDC Division, who emphasized the company's commitment to expanding AIDC capabilities and operational efficiency to offer the best infrastructure service environment in South Korea.
