Shinsegae I&C Data Center

The Shinsegae I&C Data Center, located in Gimpo-si, South Korea, is designed with a redundant base infrastructure for optimal energy efficiency, boasting a PUE below 1.4. It achieves a Tier III+ level with 2N power system redundancy, receiving dedicated lead-in power cables from two substations, ensuring uninterrupted supply through UPS and generators within a minute of a blackout.

Safety is paramount, with the facility capable of withstanding 8-richter scale earthquakes and elevated 8 meters aboveground to prevent flooding. It features advanced fire suppression and containment systems. The data center utilizes nature-friendly indirect outside air and an enclosed container system for cooling, employing zero-loss air-conditioning with hot/cold zone containment and a high-level floor structure. Advanced IT technology and compressor-based systems maximize the use of outside natural air for cooling.
