The Sberbank MegaData Center "South Port" (also known as Yuzhny Port), located in Moscow, Russia, was opened in 2011 after a 15-month construction period. Built with an investment of $1.2 billion, the facility centralizes IT systems across Sberbank's regional divisions to optimize computing performance and unify banking processes.
The data center features a total area of 16,500 square meters, including 5,000 square meters of IT halls. Designed to meet international reliability standards, it holds a Tier III certification allowing for maintenance without operational downtime. The complex utilizes advanced energy-saving technologies and a unique bio-identification access control system based on circulatory system patterns to protect secure zones.
