Goznak, Russia’s state-owned security printer, is developing a major new data center in Moscow’s Tsaritsyno district. This upcoming facility will be the company’s third and by far the largest, designed to host around 1,500 server racks across a 35,000 square meter footprint.
The site is expected to go live between late 2026 and early 2027 and will significantly expand Goznak’s digital infrastructure capacity. For comparison, Goznak’s two existing Tier III-certified data centers—one each in Moscow and Saint Petersburg—collectively support fewer than 850 racks combined.
This new build is managed under Goznak.Tech, the company’s IT infrastructure division, which also oversees the Goznak.Cloud service offering. The move reflects ongoing efforts to bolster domestic, sovereign cloud and data services, even amid broader challenges to the Russian data center industry caused by international sanctions.
