Cisco Krakow

Cisco is constructing a new 4MW data center in Krakow, Poland, with an investment of 200 million PLN ($56.5 million). The facility will also house R&D laboratories focused on AI technologies and sustainable development. Construction is slated to begin in July, with operations expected by the end of the summer. This new data center aims to consolidate and scale Cisco's EMEA operations, enabling the delivery of next-generation solutions and accelerating innovation for customers and partners. The decision to build in Krakow highlights the recognized global value of the city's specialists in networking, cloud, cybersecurity, automation, and AI. This expansion builds upon Cisco's existing significant presence in Krakow, which began in 2012 and now includes a global support center and a security operations center, making it the company's second-largest office in Europe with nearly 3,000 staff. The data center's power needs will be supported by a 15-year virtual power purchase agreement for 470GWh of solar energy from R.Power.
