The Baltic Data Center Campus, located in Starbienino, Poland, is an ambitious project by WBS Power with a planned capacity of 3.2 GW. This multi-stage investment, each part with 800 MW, is set to become one of Europe's largest data center campuses. The project is led by Maciej Marcjanik, an entrepreneur with a background in the renewable energy sector. The first stage alone is estimated to cost between $8-10 billion. Construction is expected to employ several hundred people, with the operational data center providing 200-300 jobs. The complex will feature eight three-storey buildings, each nearly a hectare in size, with commissioning anticipated around the turn of 2028/2029. This development aims to position Poland as a significant player in digital infrastructure, capitalizing on the growing demand for data centers driven by AI and the limited capacity in established European markets. WBS Power is currently awaiting changes to the local spatial development plan to proceed with environmental decisions and design.
