Microsoft is expanding its European data center presence with a new facility in Sandnes, Norway. This project, located in the Stavanger region, will feature a 25MW capacity. The 64-acre site was acquired for NOK153.6 million and is zoned for industrial use. This new data center aims to complement Microsoft's existing Norway East region, which includes facilities in Fetsund, Ytre Enebakk, Hobøl, and Rennesøy. Microsoft Norway CEO Kristine Dahl Steidel highlighted the project's role in driving value creation and accelerating innovation across Norwegian businesses and the public sector.
