Fossefall Rollag

Fossefall Rollag is a proposed 15MW data center development by Nordic operator Fossefall, located in Rollag, Norway. The project aims to repurpose an existing old factory at Rollagsvegen 50. This initiative is part of Fossefall's broader strategy to establish 500MW of "clean" AI infrastructure across the Nordics by 2030, utilizing surplus renewable energy, primarily hydroelectric power.

The site is situated in a municipality approximately 50km west of Oslo. The former factory complex has a history dating back to 1975, originally established by Kongsberg Våpenfabrikk and later operated by Kongsberg Automotive before closing in 2017.

Fossefall has been actively expanding its presence, having previously acquired a data center in Fyresdal, Telemark, with plans to increase its capacity. The company is also exploring development in Harpefoss. Fossefall's portfolio includes 11 potential projects in Norway, totaling over 385MW, with initial projects anticipated to be operational by the end of 2026. The company has strategic partnerships with US AI firm Seekr and software firm Done.ai.
