Magnora Scale Averøya is a new 100MW data center project situated in Kristiansund, Norway, on the western coast. Developed by Norwegian renewable investment firm Magnora ASA in partnership with Averøy Industripark and Tore Knapskog, the project aims to address the critical undersupply of liquid-cooled, high-density capacity. Kristiansund is located in the Nordmøre district of Møre og Romsdal county. Magnora will hold a 70% stake in the new entity. The facility is designed to cater to target customers where time-to-market is crucial, positioning the Nordics as an emerging region for such infrastructure.
