The Nxtra Lagos Data Center Park is a hyperscale-ready facility located in Eko Atlantic, Lagos. It is strategically positioned near cable landing stations and a dense fiber network, ensuring strong connectivity.

The facility will have a total power capacity of 34 MW, supporting over 3,000 racks with high power density, reaching up to 30 KW per rack.

The data center is designed as a G+5 structure with approximately 300,000 square feet of built-up area. It will feature two data halls per floor.

It is a carrier-neutral facility, interconnected to global gateways and major traffic exchanges, providing seamless connectivity.

The power infrastructure includes multiple 33 KVA feeds sourced from different substations, ensuring redundancy and reliability.

For energy efficiency, the site is designed to achieve a PUE of less than 1.4, utilizing an advanced cooling system.

The facility will comply with several certifications, including PCI-DSS, SOC, ISO27001, ISO 20001, ISO 9001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, meeting high standards for security, sustainability, and quality.

Nxtra by Airtel is expanding its data center footprint across Africa, aiming to enhance data sovereignty, security, and digital infrastructure. The Lagos site is expected to be operational by 2026 and is the first of five planned hyperscale data centers in Africa.
