KIO Networks

KIO MEX8 is a new data center facility located in Mexico City, Mexico, with an initial capacity of 4MW. The project represents a strategic investment of approximately 70 million dollars, with potential for further expansion. Its construction and operation are expected to create around 3,000 direct jobs. 

Designed with sustainability in mind, KIO MEX8 integrates features such as a closed-loop cooling system for water reuse and aims to utilize renewable energy sources. The facility is slated for completion in the first quarter of 2027 and will focus on offering public cloud services and hosting data for national and international companies. 

Strategically situated near existing KIO facilities (KIO MEX1 and KIO MEX2), KIO MEX8 forms part of a "mega campus" designed to ensure operational continuity, security, and scalability. This development aims to support the growing demand for low-latency services, particularly for artificial intelligence applications, and to solidify Mexico City's position as a world-class technological center.
