GDC Banting

Global Data Centre (GDC) is constructing a significant data center facility in Banting, Selangor, Malaysia. The project is situated on a 36-acre parcel of land within the planned Kota Seri Langat development, a 2,890-acre area designated for both residential and industrial use.

This new data center is projected to have a capacity of 210MW. The land was acquired by Global Data Infrastructure Sdn Bhd, the data center division of Global Telecommunications Group. Kota Seri Langat is a large-scale development spearheaded by PNB, Malaysia's largest state-owned fund management company, in collaboration with Kumpulan Wang Persaraan and AREA Industrial Development Holdings.

Global Telecommunications Group has an established presence in the data center market, operating facilities in four locations across Malaysia (Kulim, Melaka, Sedenak, and Kuching) and one in Batam, Indonesia. The Selangor region is a key area for data center infrastructure in Malaysia, notably including Cyberjaya, a major hub for the industry.
