STT Johor 1, located in the Nusa Cemerlang Industrial Park, Gelang Patah, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is the inaugural building within the STT Johor data centre campus. This facility boasts a total development potential of 120MW of IT load and is strategically positioned just 15km from Singapore, providing exceptional accessibility and connectivity to a major international business and interconnection hub.
The data center is engineered to support advanced liquid cooling technologies and offers scalability for large GPU-accelerated computing clusters, making it ideal for diverse AI workloads across various industries. It features 183,766 sqft of gross floor area and 61,053 sqft of net lettable area, with a slab-to-slab height of up to 6m and a floor loading capacity of 15 kN/sqm.
Power infrastructure includes two diverse and redundant 33kV utility power supplies, capable of delivering up to 16MW of IT load per building. The cooling system utilizes N+1 high efficiency air-cooled chillers and N+2 fan wall units, designed for concurrent maintainability. Connectivity is robust, with carrier-neutral access, multiple fibre points of entry, and access to various carriers, internet, and cloud service providers.
Security measures are comprehensive, featuring anti-climb perimeter fencing with surveillance and video analytics, 24x7 CCTV recording, on-site manned guards, and multi-factor authentication for controlled access to data halls. STT Johor 1 is designed to meet TIA-942 Rated-3 standards and targets LEED Gold certification, alongside ISO 20000, ISO 22301, ISO 27001, and ISO 50001 compliance.
