Telecentras’ DC2 is a secure, underground data center located in Vilnius, Lithuania, commissioned in 2012. Built beneath the Vilnius TV Tower, it was designed to meet stringent reliability and security standards, making it one of the most resilient facilities in the country.
The data center houses 28 server racks, of which 16 are allocated for state use, with additional capacity available for institutions like the State Enterprise Centre of Registers. DC2 is officially recognized as a state data center and is integrated into Lithuania’s national digital infrastructure strategy.
DC2 is engineered to practically meet Uptime Tier III standards, featuring:
* Category I power supply with four feeds from three independent sources
* 2.5MW total power capacity
* Autonomous backup generators
* Redundant UPS systems (N+N)
* Redundant cooling and ventilation systems (N+1)
It is connected to Telecentras’ DWDM fiber backbone, with additional links from third-party providers, ensuring high-speed, redundant connectivity.
