The Litgrid Management and Data Security Center in Vilnius, Lithuania, is a strategic national facility designed to ensure the secure and autonomous operation of the country’s electricity transmission system. Completed in 2019 with a €10 million investment, the four-story, 5,669 m² building houses Litgrid’s system control center, data center, and administrative offices.
Built to A+ energy efficiency standards, the center features geothermal heating, EV charging stations, and a planted roof, alongside advanced physical and cyber security systems—including perimeter protection, electronic access control, and redundant fiber-optic links. It plays a critical role in Lithuania’s synchronization with the continental European power grid, enabling decentralized frequency control and reducing reliance on the IPS/UPS system.
