O3 Benghazi

O3 Benghazi is a new Tier III data center facility located in Benghazi, Libya, developed by the O3 Group (Ozone Telecommunications and Technology Group). Construction is underway, with an expected operational launch in March 2027. The data center aims to provide essential digital infrastructure for Libya, including local hosting, cloud services, and business applications. It will serve telecommunications operators, financial institutions, government organizations, and corporate clients.

The facility is strategically positioned to support Libya's ambition to become a regional digital hub connecting Europe and Africa. A key aspect of its connectivity will be through the Medusa Submarine Cable System, which has completed its shore end installation in Benghazi. This open-access cable system is the longest in the Mediterranean, linking Southern Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East. O3 Group will leverage this connection to enhance international connectivity for the region. The O3 Group also plans to establish a 5G mobile operator, supported by this advanced infrastructure.
