Saitama iDC is a high-security urban data center located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It is recognized as the region’s only facility built to Tier 4 class standards, offering exceptional reliability and fault tolerance for mission-critical systems.
The center is constructed on stable ground with low seismic and flood risk, and features advanced seismic isolation technology capable of withstanding earthquakes up to seismic intensity level 7. An emergency power generation system ensures uninterrupted operations during disasters.
Security infrastructure includes seven distinct access control zones, with multi-factor authentication such as visual ID, IC card scanning, and vein recognition. These measures provide a secure and efficient flow from entry to server rack access.
In line with sustainability goals, Saitama iDC incorporates solar panels, high-efficiency equipment, and greening initiatives. The facility has also begun using renewable energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Since its launch in 2003, the data center has continuously evolved, integrating future-oriented technologies and optimizing its systems to remain close to client needs. It supports a wide range of services including housing, cloud hosting, and managed IT operations.
