Mirait's Osaka No.1 Data Center is one of the largest colocation facilities in the city, strategically located near central Osaka for easy access via multiple rail and road networks. The eight-story steel-framed building features seismic isolation technology and flood protection, ensuring resilience against natural disasters.
The facility offers up to 14,000 kW of server power capacity and houses approximately 2,500 racks across five dedicated server floors. It supports high-density deployments with a floor load capacity of 1,500 kg/m² and a ceiling height of 4.8 meters.
Power infrastructure includes dual-feed systems from separate substations, N+1 gas turbine backup generators with 48-hour fuel autonomy, and UPS configurations scalable to N+2 or 2N redundancy. Cooling is provided by a water-cooled central system with free cooling capabilities, designed for energy efficiency with a target PUE of 1.4.
Connectivity is carrier-neutral with dual redundant fiber routes and direct links to Osaka’s Dojima IX hub. Security features include 24/7 staffed monitoring, biometric access control, and planned ISO 27001 certification.
