Chiroro-Net Kurashiki No.2 is a Tier 3 compliant data center located in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan. This facility leverages a unique cooling system that combines outside air and groundwater, designed in collaboration with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). The goal is to achieve an air conditioning power consumption of less than 20% of the IT equipment's power.

Situated in a region with low natural disaster risk, the data center is protected against earthquakes and is outside tsunami and flood hazard zones. Important equipment is located on higher floors. The facility boasts earthquake-resistant construction capable of withstanding seismic intensity 7 and is equipped with gas fire extinguishing systems in critical areas.

Power is supplied via two independent utility circuits from different substations, with instant switching to a backup line. An emergency generator provides 144 hours of operation without refueling. The N+1 redundant UPS system ensures continuous operation even during maintenance.

Security is managed through IC cards and palm vein authentication for access to sensitive areas, complemented by 24/7 surveillance cameras and monitoring of network, power, and environmental conditions.
