The State Mint Data Centre, located in Rome, Italy, is recognized as the largest prefabricated data center in Italy. Constructed by Sirti Digital Solutions in a remarkable five weeks, the facility spans approximately 1,200 sqm and houses 200 racks with a total IT capacity of 1.5MW, utilizing a 2N architecture.
This €28 million project was built using a prefabricated modular system comprising 44 modules, assembled on-site. Notably, it was constructed with 100% recyclable materials and without concrete. The data center is engineered to be earthquake-proof and can withstand winds exceeding 200 kmph. Its fully loaded PUE is less than or equal to 1.25.
The facility is designed to meet ANSI/TIA-942-C, Rating 4 standards and will be used by the Italian government to run IO, a public services app for citizens. Sirti Digital Solutions also secured a five-year operation and maintenance contract for the data center.
