Retelit SPA is constructing the Retelit Corsico DC, a new 18,000 sqm (193,750 sq ft) data center located in Corsico, southwest of Milan, Italy. The facility will comprise two identical buildings with a total capacity of 13.6MW, specifically engineered to support demanding AI workloads.
The data center will incorporate advanced, low-environmental impact technologies and adhere to stringent reliability standards, meeting the requirements of major cloud providers. It will feature closed-loop water cooling systems to safeguard local water resources, complemented by liquid cooling solutions for AI servers. A key sustainability feature is the repurposing of waste heat to power local homes and businesses, contributing to a district heating network.
As part of Retelit’s Avalon Campus, the largest neutral colocation data center ecosystem in Italy, the Corsico facility will enhance the existing hub which hosts over 170 operators, CDNs, media companies, and OTTs. This project aligns with Retelit's €350 million investment plan to bolster Italy's position as a Mediterranean digital hub, emphasizing sustainability, performance, security, reliability, and efficiency in its data center development strategy.
