This facility is designed to support large-scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads, aiming to strengthen Genoa's role as a digital hub in Southern Europe. The strategic location in Genoa, a Mediterranean gateway connecting Europe, Africa, and Asia, offers excellent connectivity, access to subsea cables, and proximity to key markets. The project will address the increasing demand for sovereign AI compute capacity, supporting applications like AI model training and advanced analytics. It also aims to contribute to broader AI gigafactory initiatives in the region and reinforce Liguria's ambition to become a center for technological development.
