Echelon Data Centres is pursuing planning permission for a new data center campus located in Kilmeaden, County Waterford, Ireland. The proposed development, situated on a 108-hectare site south of the R680 road, includes plans for three two-storey data centers, an energy center, a battery storage facility, a solar farm, and a rewilding area. The project also encompasses two office buildings, a gas installation, and a village center. This initiative represents an expansion of Echelon's presence in Ireland, where the company is also developing a 200MW campus in County Wicklow. Echelon Data Centres operates and develops six sites across Ireland and the UK, with a projected total capacity of up to 500MW.
