EdgeConneX is significantly expanding its data center presence in Indonesia with the acquisition of a 45,000 sqm land parcel adjacent to its existing Jakarta campus in Cikarang, Bekasi. This expansion is set to increase the total capacity of the campus to over 200MW.
EdgeConneX first entered the Indonesian market in 2022 by acquiring local operator GTN, which had been operating a data center in the same region since 2016. The company also secured an adjacent 40,000 sqm plot, enabling the development of a hyperscale campus with a projected capacity exceeding 90MW. Previous plans indicated this site could accommodate up to three buildings (JKT01, JKT02, JKT03) and deliver 130MW.
