BW Digital NDP1, located in Nongsa Digital Park, Batam, Indonesia, is an inaugural data center in Southeast Asia designed to offer a comprehensive suite of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions.
With a planned IT capacity of 120MW, NDP1 is engineered to support high-density requirements and provide scalable, cost-effective solutions for enterprise, cloud, and AI workloads. The facility is expected to be operational from Q4 2025.
Key features include landing infrastructure for new submarine cables, ensuring international and domestic connectivity. A significant development is the Nongsa-Changi cable, a 50 km submarine system with 24 fibre pairs, providing diverse and secure DC-to-DC connectivity between Singapore and Batam. This cable is also scheduled for service in Q4 2025.
BW Digital is the digital infrastructure division of the BW Group. The NDP1 facility is part of a broader tech park initiative in Batam, leveraging the island's strategic location near Singapore and its special economic zone status to attract digital infrastructure investments.
