Colt Data Centre Services (Colt DCS), in partnership with Indian real estate firm RMZ Corp, is set to develop a significant data center campus in Visakhapatnam (Vizag), India. The joint venture plans to establish a 1.25GW campus on 200 acres in Jagannadhapuram. The first phase of this development is anticipated to be operational by 2027.
This expansion into Visakhapatnam is part of a broader strategy by Colt DCS and RMZ Corp, who formed a $1.7 billion joint venture in 2024. Initially focused on existing Colt sites in Navi Mumbai and Ambattur, Chennai, the JV's scope has now extended to this major project in Andhra Pradesh. RMZ Corp has also committed to investing up to $10 billion in various infrastructure projects across the state over the next five to six years, signaling a strong commitment to the region's digital and industrial growth.
