UPC-Volt Bharat is a significant 100 MW AI-ready data center project planned for Hyderabad, India. This venture is a collaboration between the Netherlands-based UPC Renewables Group and VOLT Data Centres. The project aims to establish a high-performance, energy-efficient AI data center, with a substantial investment of INR 5,000 crore. A key feature of this facility is its commitment to sustainability, as it will be supported by a 100 MW Round-The-Clock (RTC) renewable energy project. This integration ensures that the digital infrastructure operates on carbon-free energy. The data center will leverage Telangana's Green Open Access Framework for renewable energy sourcing, enabling a sustainable, power-first operating model. The construction is expected to create over 3,000 direct and indirect jobs, with an additional 800+ direct and indirect jobs anticipated during its operational phase.
