Microsoft's data center in Mekaguda Village has come under scrutiny following allegations of environmental violations. A group of local residents has filed a petition claiming that the facility has been illegally dumping industrial waste into a nearby lake, leading to contamination that affects both the environment and the community's livelihood. The company has responded to these allegations, stating that they are in compliance with local regulations and have not encroached upon the lake. This situation highlights the ongoing challenges of balancing industrial development with environmental stewardship and community impact.
