HCLTech is set to establish its first company-owned AI-optimized data center in Bhubaneswar, India, located at Info Valley-II in the Khordha district. This facility is part of a broader technology campus and involves an investment of approximately INR 730 crore, expected to create around 6,000 high-skilled jobs.
The data center is designed to support artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing workloads, addressing the growing demand for high-density digital infrastructure in India. It signifies HCLTech's transition to owning and operating AI-focused data center assets.
In partnership with Sarvam and the Government of Odisha, the facility aims to accelerate India's sovereign AI and data ecosystem. It will leverage HCLTech's AI capabilities and Sarvam's foundation models to offer sector-specific AI applications. The project also includes a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Odisha to set up a global technology center in Bhubaneswar, complementing the data center and fostering local talent development.
